I like to cook. I like to eat.
I grew up in a small hamlet (aka a hippy village) on the California Coast which meant eating organic, local, free range food was not a conscious choice, it was the only choice. Needless to say, my affinity for fresh, healthy (to an extent), and creative food began at a very young age. My mom is one of the most creative cooks I know and she taught me how to ‘make it up as you go along’. Thanks, Mom!
I decided to start this blog not only because I love cooking and sharing recipes, but because sometimes (more often than not) I have trouble remembering exactly what I made that night, why it was so delicious, or why it turned out better the first time than the second (my first roasted chicken was amazing, and I have yet to replicate the juiciness or the flavor).
In this blog I will share some tried and true recipes, adapt a new recipe, and share some first time creations. Those who know me, know that I love talking about food, so if any of you have any insight on ways to make a dish better or a creative way to mix it up, please share it!
